How to format Acer Laptop

1. Turn on your computer.
2. Press F2 (some computer might be different)
3. Go to Boot. You'll see 7 options.
4. Choose IDE CD/DVD: HL-DT STDVDRAM GT31N(S5) and place it at the top of the list. To do that,press F6

 For certain computer, place IDE1 : Slimtype DVD A DS8A4SH at the top of the list.

  
5. Insert your recovery CD that you had create before
6. Press F10. Save the changes.

7. The computer will restart.

8. Select your language

9. Press OK.

10. I choose to completely restore System to Factory defaults

11. Click Next.

12.  Next.

13. Press OK.

14. Let the process begin..

15. Insert Disc 2

16. It is time for Disc 3. Press OK

17. Your computer will restart automatically.

18. And it will complete its installation

19. It will restart again

20. Select your region

21. Type your user name.

22. Key in your password or you can skip it by clicking Next

23.  Tick at both of the check box.

24.  Use recommended setting

25.Set up your time zone

26.  You can join a wireless network or just skip this step.

27. Just wait......

29.  Register or just skip this step.

30.Activate now or later.

FINISH.

 

Create Recovery CD for Acer

1. Insert a blank DVD. (usually, you need 3 blank DVDs)
2. Click Start menu-All Programs-Acer-Acer eRecovery Management.Then, 

Click Create Factory Default Disc

Click Start

The important of recovery is you can restore you computer to its original state. In other words, you can format your computer using original Windows.

Change command prompt (cmd) color

1. Click run (for window XP) / search (for window 7)
2. Type cmd
3. When command prompt opens, type color code or help color. You will see list of color codes.
4. To change the color, type color and its codes (example: color a)
